IAWEA’s Collection Certification coordinator, Kevin Moler says web-based testing is now available as a test option. Moler has coordinated with DMACC to provide proctor services and says beginning June 1, 2019 web-based testing will be available at DMACC’s Southridge location, 1111 E Army Post Rd, Ste 2004, Des Moines, Iowa 50315, and at the DMACC Urban Campus Test Center, 1100 7th Street, Building 1, Des Moines, Iowa 50314.
Moler says he will have proctor services available with Iowa Western Community College (IWCC), 2700 College Rd, Council Bluffs, Iowa 51503 by June 15, 2019. The test center is located in the Welcome Center inside Clark Hall.
To register for a web-based collection exam you must complete an exam registration form which you can download from this site. Select the Committee tab at the top of the Home page and click on Collection Systems and scroll down. Submit completed exam application forms to Moler. Moler will determine eligibility and submit a list of eligible applicants to ABC on the first of each month for processing. ABC will notify the applicant when the test is available. The applicant will then contact the test center (DMACC in Des Moines or IWCC in Council Bluffs) to schedule a test date. The applicant will have 30 days to take the exam after notification from ABC. Test results will be immediately available after the exam.
Moler is continuing to reach out to other community colleges across Iowa. Moler recommends everyone frequent IAWEA’s web site for continued updates.
The paper exam will continue to be available at the March collection conference in Marshalltown and at the September operator conference in Newton.
